At Bangkok have a very well known floating market at Damnoen Saduak, many tourist love to visit there.

A few months ago, thailand started another new tourist attraction at Songkhla Province (South district) called “Nam Klonghae Floating Market“, this fresh place is just about 5km from Hatyai city.  I went there by shared a Tuk Tuk ride with my aunties.  The market is on the river that situated in Tambon Klonghae, about 7km long.  This floating market is become famous now and it is open only from Friday to Sunday (3pm to 9pm).  This place is full of visitors every weekend.

There are boats around the river, you can enjoy various delicious thai snacks and local fruits there with very cheap price (almost all plates are selling 20 Baht).  Besides, that is also a nice park for picnic and people walking.  You can hire a small boat to go for a paddle as well.  I would recommend this place to anyone have trips to Hat Yai because its really impressed me.

Recently my family & I traveled to Hat Yai from Penang by bus, it is near to the north border of Malaysia.  My mum told me that I’ve been there before but it was many years ago when I am just a kid, I totally can’t recall it anymore…  so I decided to record something about it on my blog for this time…

Hat Yai is a principal town of Songkhla province, it is southern Thailand’s major commercial, communications, entertainment and shopping centre and offers excellent transportation and accommodation.  When i viewed it from the top of Hotel that I stayed, the building at this city seems bigger and well constructed than Georgetown and other states at north of Malaysia.

These are the tourist attractions that we visited at Songkhla Province:

Wat Phra Mahathat temple in Nakhon Si Thammarat

Wat Mahathat temple

Many Malaysian & Singaporean Buddhists come to pray in this temple, some of them are returning every year because they believe the god gives them luck…
