You can make a fast or quick Shut Down on Microsoft Windows Operating System by creating a batch file (*.bat) that includes the following commands:
@echo off
c:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 5 -f
This will decrease the 30 seconds default count down to 5 seconds and Force the system to close all open programs.
Just double click on the file icon to execute or run it.

Microsoft Windows Vista allows you to use the auto assigned hotkeys (for the first 10 items) in the Quick Launch menu. For each icon in the Quick launch toolbar, the built-in hotkey is ”Win + number“. The number is assigned based on the position of program listed in the Quick lauch bar from left to right, 1-9 (and 0 for 10).
The following screenshot shown you a sample with 4 icons in Quick lauch toolbar:

1 – Show Desktop
2 – Flip3D
3 – Windows Media Player
4 – Internet Explorer
That would mean the automatic hotkeys are assigned like this:
Win + 1 – Show Desktop (Similar to Win+D)
Win + 2 – Flip3D (Similar to Win+Tab)
Win + 3 – Windows Media Player
Win + 4 – Internet Explorer

Annoyed when you are typing a document and accidentally the palm of your hand brushes the touchpad, changing the position of the cursor in your document or the cursor will jump to another sentence/line to make you clicking an option by mistake. “TouchFreeze” is simple utility for Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista user that solves this problem. It automatically disables touchpad while you are typing text with the word processor or editor on your laptop or notebook. Like syndaemon on x-windows.
